Bulgaria's coastal town of Kiten is the least expensive Black Sea destination
It is commonly assumed that Sunny Beach offers great value for money, but more often than not this is true for the 7-14 day package holiday deals covering fights and accommodation only. Once on the ground, the cost of taxis, price of beer and 7 Eur / day for 2x sun loungers and umbrella on the beach can be surprisingly high. So, where should you head for the very best value Black Sea break? According to trivago.co.uk this would be the southern Black Sea town of Kiten where the price of a double room per night between June and September is just 33 Euros. Towns of Ravda and Sozopol came in a close second and third at just 36-42 Euros / night. The survey considered all destinations in Greece and Turkey too.
The most expensive Bulgarian resort proved to be Albena where the average room / night costs a whopping 93 Euros. Other keys towns and their average nightly rate can be seen below:
- Burgas 49 Eur
- Varna 51 Eur
- Primorsko 55 Eur
